Would I vote for a celebrity this coming 2010 presidential elections?
I would vote for the candidate who's most capable of being president, regardless if they are a celebrity or not. But the sad thing is, most celebrities only have knowledge for acting and mocking. How can they be capable of running a country when the "EXPERIENCE" part of their resume only comprises titles of the movies and TV shows they have made thus far??
I don't think being educated is reason enough to run for presidency either. If that's the case, anyone who is such could be easily qualified.
Under Article 7, Section 2 of the Philippine Constitution, in order to serve as President, one must be at least 40 years of age, a registered voter, able to read and write, a Filipino citizen by birth, and a resident of the Philippines for at least 10 years prior to election.
Would you actually hire someone to manage your business if he fit in all the qualifications above and nothing more? I wouldn't. I would, at least, make sure he was trustworthy and had some good managing credentials.
Why not do the same when choosing for our President who would, so to say, manage our own countrymen and the nation that our forefathers have fought and died for???
This is no bullshit, ladies and gentlemen! Make your minds work before you vote. It will be worth it.

So after all the blackbooks, pinkbooks, yellowbooks and all-other-colors-of-the-rainbow books, I've finally decided to put up my writings on the web. Yikes! Considering that everything I write about are, more often than not, the things I would never blurt out or even whisper to anyone else--not even to a best friend.
Over the years, I've only completely opened myself up to my pen. I can't remember vividly the events that happened on the summer of 2001, but I know in my heart, my pen and one of my colored-books do.
---
The happenings that have transpired over the past week, I should say, were a bit overwhelming. Thunderstorms, floods, tsunami, hurricane, earthquake--all these unexpected tragedy in just a week's time. These events got me thinking a lot, just like how it did for most people. My facebook news feed was bombarded with questions on whether the earth is nearing its end.
Is it? Now this is why I opted to do this. Not merely because I'm scared of losing my writing documentations from a flood or a tsunami (hoping not), but because I want someone to know and see the real me before, er, the earth fades.
So enjoy.
For the first time in nearly 24 years, I'm letting someone mingle with my Mongol.
